JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Chef de Rang you are responsible for providing the guests with an exceptional dining experience. Ensure attentive service is provided and all guests requests are adhered to.



RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CHEF DE RANG:
  • Complete knowledge on standard operating procedure in terms of service
  • Must have a complete understanding of the menu and a comprehensive knowledge of the wine list to enable    up selling to guests
  • Cheese knowledge is an added advantage
  • Must be efficient and accurate in taking orders and keying it in the POS system whilst maintaining a polite    demeanour in front of guests
  • To ensure that all waiter stations and back of the house areas are properly set up prior to each service    session

  • REQUIREMENTS OF A CHEF DE RANG:
  • To possess previous experience as a Demi/Chef de Rang
  • Added advantage if previous work experience was with a fine dining environment
  • Must be a team player and be willing to conform to the company’s culture
  • Must be able to distinguish between priorities and importance
  • Must be responsible and uncompromising in achieving the company’s goals and standards
  • Must be able to speak fluent English
