JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Chef de Partie you are responsible to supervise the smooth running of a section. You report directly to the Sous Chef and Head Chef and will receive assistance from Jr Chef de Partie and/or Commis Chef.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CHEF DE PARTIE:Managing a section in the kitchen
Ensuring that the section is ran efficiently with no wastage, stock controls are up to date and rotation of stocks are done managed properly
To assist in the development of Commis Chef by way of training
To fully comprehend the sequence of service in the restaurant, table numbers to ensure that docketing procedure, meticulous labelling and dating of food items
Adherence to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programmes
REQUIREMENTS OF A CHEF DE PARTIE:To possess previous experience as a Demi/Chef de Partie
Added advantage if previous work experience was with a fine dining environment
Must be a team player and be willing to conform to the company’s culture
Must be able to distinguish between priorities and importance
Must be responsible and uncompromising in achieving the company’s goals and standards
Must be able to speak fluent English
