JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Chef de Partie you are responsible to supervise the smooth running of a section. You report directly to the Sous Chef and Head Chef and will receive assistance from Jr Chef de Partie and/or Commis Chef.



RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CHEF DE PARTIE:

  • Managing a section in the kitchen
  • Ensuring that the section is ran efficiently with no wastage, stock controls are up to date and rotation of    stocks are done managed properly
  • To assist in the development of Commis Chef by way of training
  • To fully comprehend the sequence of service in the restaurant, table numbers to ensure that docketing    procedure, meticulous labelling and dating of food items
  • Adherence to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programmes

  • REQUIREMENTS OF A CHEF DE PARTIE:
  • To possess previous experience as a Demi/Chef de Partie
  • Added advantage if previous work experience was with a fine dining environment
  • Must be a team player and be willing to conform to the company’s culture
  • Must be able to distinguish between priorities and importance
  • Must be responsible and uncompromising in achieving the company’s goals and standards
  • Must be able to speak fluent English
